AGES I got to say there a lot ways I could be better But listening to mama’s lectures only got me fed up So I sped up Graduated soon as the credits was rolled Time to direct my own flick like Sly Stallone Rocky roads cocked block my flow No one picked up my calling card But I ain't fall that hard back to the drawing board Saw it all for what it's worth First you a shooting star Next thing, you falling back to earth But gravity something we all had at birth Had to nurse my wounds, and knuckle up with my daemons Took a couple months, but at once odd seemed to be even Found a squad I want to be in and a broad I couldn't leave and, before I knew it my baby started teething Now we all healthy and eating Welcoming another season Knowing I could always fall for some odd reason no God to believe, but still from far from a heathen Don't know if I found myself but I found meaning And in Brooklyn That's enough to plant a tree in GRINGO I gotta say there's a lot of ways I could be better too I never used to be able to handle being told what to do Made more than a few mistakes that changed the course of my view Some people need to learn the hard way some don't make it through I been lucky that my choices haven't cost me too much Just opportunities squandered all the smoke in my lungs Led to notebooks of flows hooks composed Magic My chosen path a road block hopeless romantic Locked and overloaded thoughts so prolific but stifled creative but over analytical visionary with a blindfold And time goes by so sly your young no worries The Fire and fury so certain no need to hurry Then on the wrong side of thirty you wake up early feeling burnt out All the time in the world turned into the curtains coming down Urgency and purpose emerging now you find meaning And on the mountain top in Cali that's enough to plant a tree in

MUTINY 01:05
I'm walking along listening to the dialog inside my own head. Sometimes I agree with me. Sometimes I think I'm just humoring myself so as to not rock my own boat, the good ship self-esteem. As my own self-esteem boat captain it is my responsibility to see to it that my crew have the wherewithal to disagree with their commanding officer in the name of good advice when the situation calls for it. When your ship is sinking, mutiny seems to be a much more appropriate reaction than enthusiastic solidarity, conformity and ultimately self destructive denial. Sometimes you have to capsize your own vessel.

THE BATTLE 01:13
Flashes of pastures greener grasses dashed Up in smoke to ashes see the passage of the dreamers crash Into the real world and the sea gulls all laugh or scream Blood curdling cries people pass by without an eye blink To think that there might be some meaning Behind the cackle of crows the jackal it throws its head back and howls The battle is lost but the war goes on

Only we can stop them now GRINGO verse Proud the people we shout the leaders down a spiral staircase to hades and maybe we take back the crown Rain dance til the ground floods laid plans-foundations to break these massive chains and grab the reins we were born to run Looking towards the sun foreheads full of worry I see the ancient glory of the ones that stood before me In the wrinkled eyes of elders and the cries of the mothers They tell us stories of conquest and the price of the plundering And the lives and the love despite the crimes And the bloodshed Not a jester for the master blindly accepting injustice I'm the truth a thorn in the side of deception A tooth ache in the mouth of the dinosaur of oppression Indigestion in the belly of the beast to incite the rise of The time of Consciousness has begun to unify us we'll Return this beautiful land back from the hands of a few to all of mankind and continue fight for what's true (Chorus) Backs to the wall path we deserve to ride down Passing the point of no return we'll find out Who's got capacity to stand and who lies down Is this the crash and then burn or can we climb out Only we can stop them now OSICS verse The power lies within the individuals, the universe's highest masters grant wishes of the spiritual need my energy to combine with yours, mission's too critical to believe in a system where the leaders never wanna reveal what’s true you don’t need eyes to see the scams they running past us our ancestors are different from their ancestors ours blessed us with perseverance and strength to overcome hateful gestures we just have to make sure that the efforts are for a better us I look in the mirror ask what am I doing for my people to protect them all from evil, I can’t protect them all so how I do equip who I reach how do I teach em the ways to use the weapons to defend their dignity and pride without preaching long speeches but there’s so much memory erased we got a long way to go back to distinguish millenniums of existence built on lies from the facts no real education in class only told how we're supposed to act gotta get our lives back on track before our lives fade to black (Chorus) Backs to the wall path we deserve to ride down Passing the point of no return we'll find out Who's got capacity to stand and who lies down Is this the crash and then burn or can we climb out Only we can stop them now DOMO verse Same shit different day struggle heavy options blocked different poison everyday Poppin off causing deadly routes to take too many bills to pay so will we make it out or have to stay, Inside this tomb to die the pharohs proved there's more to life than what you call it ballin ain't the way you wanna live your days you fallin out of touch with broken promises n empty statements Time to rise above these painstakingly perpetuating payments to the lamest cats that run lives with monetary bribes it's obviously basic to describe this type of corruption this type of destruction this type of consumption as the reasons to whyyyy Im so Reluctant to trust the government brothers stuck in section 80 hope the 1% are loving it I'm done it the pub a lic is rio ting better buzz back with peace offering I know that we are frightening but quiet please this is your enlightening I'm coming down like lightening to lighten up your minds n let you know that Domo more than yolo but I could never do it solo . Oh snap, that's awesome man.. looking forward to that homie, yeah I'll put them in here man.. hope you good too dawg. My Verse: From the west to the east, it's Gringo & Yung Flé about to set the pace with this masterpiece// Only the beginning, every stop closer is a notion of winning// tryna break the box of complacency into a prism// I'm not subjected to the standards I set them much higher// Through the glass and through the pain you can see the wires// On a narrow path of success I'm burning up the tyres// All the blood sweat and the tears you can hear the desire// And even through the fire we culminate our disposition// Using our poetry in motion to evoke your feelings// Elevating from the ground looking to the ceiling// Only spreading love in the world cause we're tryna heal it// All the carnage and the violence only makes it worse// there's nothing worse than seeing your best friend in a hearse// And if it hurts then you can understand about the change// Gringo & Flé another chapter in this rap game//

SOS' verse I heard it's hard to hit a moving target. Even into the wind, but I did. Now I'm bully the kid, we gon make a movie off it. Everything I write is deep, I'm talkin 6 feet sitting in coffins. El presidente, I'm coming into the office. Showin the margin, told y'all to proceed it with caution. You don't really want it, I do it everyday. grinding like I'm down on some 3 to 1 shit. Me and Gringo gon show em the lingo. Shouts to Osics for the link up, my state golden just watching the team grow. Niggas already wanting beef and I'm cool I got full off the meat loaf. I mean I'm not scared, I'm chillin. It all counts till the amounts in the millions. Then I don't care what you say, or what you do. Or who in yo crew or how y'all feeling. I'm amped wishing they could keep up. If I ain't killed already, Imma find away. Murk a beat a day, and just hide away. GRINGO verse From out the woodwork hood to the suburbs The good the bad the ugly vultures to lovebirds Come the wordsmiths dopest you never heard kids The most absurd send your ass to church versus Soul-searching till the closing of the curtain Broken is the system man I'm hoping for the hurting Certain that it's getting worse before it's getting better So ahead of the curve were setting trends for the trendsetters But never getting credit underground like coal miners Old timer still get it lit like controlled fires A bullfighter stabbing cattle with my battle ax Matador rapper attacking actors with their saddle backwards Guerrilla warfare I'll be the leader Fidelity Castro here to unify the people Mobilize educate get you aim right Until were ready to strike will be hiding in plain sight

R.I.P. YESM 02:11
Life goes fast and you catch yourself askin Questions that do not have answers we're grasping For memories, energies passed times of laughter Can it just last a little longer But gone in a flash of light, crash of waves fascinated falling rain at a loss for language Dried up but saturated cost of anguish Times up evaporated thoughts are vanquished Tossed and turned, burned to ash we're forced to seek Souls to search for the strength to keep Stumbling on with our heads up and our best foot Forward through the darkest of days we accept good With the bad news, why nows, what have yous Gratitudes for time spent acting like damn fools Can't lose for winning, open water swimming with sharks Open bottles, closed doors and broken hearts Rest in power brother catch you on the other man I love your son as much as his mother and I can This I promise that I'll never give up Your presence lives forever in us
15.
SEASONED 00:38
So far removed from who I once was, I stand a man, Sand castles built upon the foundation of the boy I started as. Dusty roads, worn-out old soles of shoes show age. Salt and pepper crown upon my head and Proud lines In my face displayed like tattoos or badges of honor. Plumage. Legs might be tired but they walk with more conviction then their youthful predecessors.

about

Mutiny is the first release by Louis under the name GringoStarr. The title stems from the internal conflic initiated by Gringo's ambition to seize more control of the vessel that carries both of the different personalities that make up the one person.

This is also the first album with Gringo as a member of H.A.N.R.O.W (Heads Are Not Ready Organization Worldwide), a collective of 8 artists from all over the U.S. joined together by the one common goal of bringing Hip-Hop forward into a new renaissance through complete lyrical annihilation.
